Q: Is the New Audi TT really a chick car?
Can anyone tell me if the New Audi TT is really a chick car(Sorry No offense Ladies)? I read an older magazine article about it, and it is compared to the 350z. I was just thinking with the s-line package that car looks smooth.

A: Hmm… Tough call. Now, the past TT was undoubtedly a “chick” car. The newer TTs, in my opinion, don’t really scream a particular gender, although I’m not sure if it’s the most manly. Yet, I don’t see any shame in owning one. The TT is a great all around car. It is very economic, practical (especially if you were to choose the coupe), aesthetically gorgeous, and is a thrill to drive. Considering that it has plenty of technology, it would be a wise choice. The people who are insulting you because you have a TT are either A) 14 year olds with straight C’s in high school or B) unable to afford the car.

Now the TTS is a sport car. That is what I have. It’s probably your best bet; it is by no means solely a chick car. It is very fun to drive. I, personally consider it a perfect car. Would I rather have a Lamborghini LP-640? Probably. But that car isn’t perfect. The TTS is well rounded. It is economical and peppy. For example, without the launch control, I can do 0-60 mph in around 5.5 seconds. With it, the time is around 4.7 seconds. Yet, I still manage around 32 mpg on the freeway. Not only is it gorgeous, but you can hold a significant amount of cargo with the TTS Coupe. There seems to be more space in there that a MINI Cooper Clubman or a RAV4. I was able to hold several large suitcases in the car. The car is perfect for a trip to Costco.

I would say that you should go with the TTS Coupe. The roadster is a little too small. The TTS is a better all-around package than the TT with the S-Line Package.

Q: Which is a better sports car to buy: a 4-yr old Porsche Boxter worth £24 thou or new Audi TT worth £28 thou?
My husband is torn between these two options. He likes the Audi bec our current family car is an Audi and the fact that the choice is brand new, and service is not a problem, but still he says”a Porsche is a Porsche”.

A: Frankly, I would go for the Audi TT. From any point of view, this model is simply destroying Mercedes Benz. Indeed, the quote “a Porsche is a Porsche” is old fashioned. Anyway, if your husband insists on these second-hand Boxter, I would recommend you any 911. As the SLK, the Boxer is considered a cheap failure.

Q: What tires do I need for my new audi tt?
i got a 2000 audi TT coupe quattro. I need to pimp this baby out. I want to get 19″ rims and tires but i live i Jackson WY (snow city). Does anyone have an idea of what is the biggest all season tires that i can get and still look good

A: Try tirerack.com they have a simulator where you can see tires and wheels…

Check out the PZero/AS I was looking to put some in 19″ on my RS4 but went with a 18″ wheels & Show tires since the AS could not take the cold… I know you can get 20″ AS tires but you try to find out… does anyone even make all season tires that will work well in snow/ice in winter?

Q: How much do you think it would cost to give an 2003 Audi TT new head lights and a new bumper I wanna custom it?
Also, is there any good sites for customizing audi’s?

A: im not sure about the headlights but bumper would range from $750 to $2800 for your ride

Q: What does everyone think to the new Audi tt?

A: It’s much better than the old Bauhaus design theme. The new lines are sleek and modern. I love the new interior. The flat bottomed steering wheel is a cool touch, and you can still get the baseball-optic leather (though more subtle). Audi interior quality really shows in this car. One nitpick though: When you shift into park, it’s impossible to reach the climate controls. Not that that is a big problem though, because nobody uses climate control when in park. For me, I’ll wait until the A5 coupe comes out.

Q: how much as the new audi TT?
the MSRP for audi TT is $41,500 and the invoice price is $38,299…. is this the basic standard? if it is… then how much would the full option be? anyone know??? and also, i don’t know if this price pertains to the hard top or the convertible. how much would the convertible be?

A: You can sell but you still owe if you don’t pay they will just take possession of other goods owned by you and auction them to recover the outstanding amount of any monies owed.

A: Aston Martin is by far the best of those. It also costs more than the other 2 combined.

The Audi is an overpriced VW with a fancy body. It couldn’t compete with either of the others. Its probably the best value because its so much cheaper than the others.

Q: New Audi TT a women-hairdressers car?
I know thats what they say about the 2000-2006 version of the car. How about the new style? More sleeker…surely this is a mans car? I know this sounds sexist, but im trying to figure which new car to get. A new TT or roadster TT or the S3…Its only me who drives it and i rarely have pas.
hi chunky. I did look at the A5. Its a nice car and great to drive…but its just carrying extra metal around. A small sized car or hatchback is ideal. Though i am still tempted with the A5, as i really liked the A4…but the A4 is def too big for me. The only prob at the mo is its out of my price range. (25k+) Im looking to spend no more than 22k….Although if i did go for the A5 i would spend that extra as long as it came with LED DRL, B&O sound and a bonus if it got the multimedia/sat nav. Most cars priced 23-27k don’t come with any of it…
forgot to say…if i did go for the A5…i prob wait till next summer/autumn and hope people get rid of theirs in exchange for the new s-line version. Therefore the dealership has too many sport A5’s and ill snap them up for the price mentioned :D

A: Why are you talking about the A5 and the TT in the same question? There is no comparison in size and type – completely different in every way!

Don’t waste your money on this TT. My mate at work’s got one, I’ve got an A3, and the A3’s bigger – though it’s got the same (VW Golf) chassis and engine, just as fast, got more extras for less money and it looks better. Though he can get his golf clubs in the back (just), he can’t get the kids in it. It’s just a toy and it’s not a real man’s car.

It looks like a willy woofters car to me – something that Noddy and BigEars would look good in. But hey, get what you like at the end of the day – it’s your money to waste.

Q: Is there a waiting list for the new Audi TT?

A: Yes, you have to order one, it takes quite some time for it to be made.

Q: I really like the way the new Audi TT coupe looks like but I’ve never been inside of it. Is it worth buying?

A: The roofline is a bit weird. I can’t easily get in or out of that car without bumping my head on the side of the roof. This car is not for small people. I’m 6′0″. You pay for the styling, which is nice, but there are better cars out there for the same money.

If they decide to make the TT-RS, it will come out after 2010.

Q: Who thinks that the current Audi TT design is better than the new one?
The Audi TT has a minimalist, retro, Bauhaus inspired design that still looks like a concept car some six or so years after its release. Its a design classic. The new model, just unveiled, is a step backwards.

A: Totally agree. The TT definetly lost its edge I think. I was going to hold off on getting one to get the 2007 but after seeing it I’d much rather have the 06 model…
